Description: KPR Mill Limited is one of the largest vertically integrated Apparel manufacturing companies in India producing Yarn, Knitted Grey & Dyed Fabric and Readymade Garments. Key Result Areas: Managing shipments of some important buyers like Decathlon, Carrefour, M&S, TCP, KMart, Uniglo, BUZZ Products, H&M, George, Greg Norman and so on Monitoring a team of 25 people; conducting all day-to-day operations of the Export and Import Department including staff management, export logistics, and documentation Spearheading all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments using both ocean and air transportation Working towards reducing costs and ensuring quality levels by creating & implementing strategic plans to move goods between countries; facilitating decision-making process by supporting senior management Creating strategic global logistics training programs and identifying key areas for improvement by conducting cost and profit analysis Negotiating shipping rates with all suppliers, freight forwarders, CHA’s & transporters Working with clients across numerous time zones, ensuring all shipment issues were handled in a timely manner Participating for quarterly business reviews alongside senior management Reviewing monthly inventories of materials on the work floor; tracking multiple shipments to final destination, ensuring customers\' satisfaction Coordinating with domestic shipping lines, brokers and overseas vendors on discrepancy and successfully solving issues Imparting trainings to employees for preparation of import/export documents such as invoices, packing list, AS Data Sheet, GTD report, annexure E, VGM, Container Loading Plan, Shipping Instruction, Container Survey Report, pre-alerts and arrival notices Supervising timely submission of LC documents to the bank for on-time buyer payment Approving and processing customers\' payments; resolving discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
