I love selling brands, I despise selling myself! So I\'ll just rip off the band-aid. After realising that Engineering wasn\'t my cup of tea in the first year itself, I went in search of coffee, I joined Colombian Brew Coffee (see what I did there?) in my first year of Business Administration course. My position on the sales team was confirmed after I managed to sell Coffee to the founder himself during my two-day event internship. I decided I was old enough to sell alcohol after selling coffee, green tea, and chocolates in the FnB and HoReCa space for a while. Fortunately, I evolved from a coffee person to a coffee mead person and began working at Moonshine Meadery, Asia\'s first meadery. I got this job in a very unusual way: I demanded a job even though there were no openings, threatening the founders with daily visits to the office to make the coffee!(yeah coffee\'s an important part of my life now). I started off by sampling guests at local restaurants and progressed to the Sales team, eventually handling my own Geography. We realized the importance of marketing-led organisations in today\'s world and took responsibility for digital marketing, advertising, and brand building. I was also responsible for Exports alongside the co-founder and sales head during the second year in the organisation. In the midst of the pandemic, we decided to launch a sister brand in the same category as we saw a market gap and the potential for a mass-targeted Mead- step in Portside. I was in charge of Portside\'s brand identity and brand building, which was @Nitin (Moonshine\'s Co-founder) lockdown brainfart. After a year at Portside, I took on the role of community manager for the rapidly expanding Moonshine brand. I was in charge of the West and Southern Markets. In my spare time, I am a petrol head who has been working on restoring a car for the past 7 years- the day it is finished, it gets its own dedicated LinkedIn post. Stay tuned for more.
