Senior level, award-winning, communications professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and expertise in all aspects of strategic internal and external communications including media relations / social media, issues and crisis communications, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, mergers and acquisitions, annual report writing, and corporate social responsibility / sustainability. Expertise in sustainability includes in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the most widely used international standard of sustainability measurement. Wrote and produced Guelph Hydro\'s international award-winning inaugural Sustainability Report and three subsequent reports. Served as a delegate on the Trans Atlantic Urban Climate Dialogue, an information exchange program on energy efficiency and climate change with participants from municipalities in Germany, the U.S. and Ontario. Recognized expert and former McMaster University instructor for Issues and Crisis Communications Management including risks associated with social media.
