My journey into the HR arena has been somewhat circular insofar as my initial career plan was to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. In college, I majored in Psychology/Social Behavior and fully intended on following through with that as a career. When I got out of college - my career took a sharp left turn and I became a principal in a private education organization where I was responsible for the human resources and operations functions. It was then that I realized that HR is what I really wanted to do long term.Subsequently, my HR experience has increased exponentially and includes creating collaborative work environments and implementing win/win strategies for both the employee and the company that increase organizational effectiveness.
