ABOUT SANDY SAFI

Sandy Safi is a passionate entrepreneur with a drive for structuring, operating, and leading a business. Sandy currently specializes in the entertainment industry on a global level, as the Owner and President of global culinary phenomenon, Diner en Blanc International. Since 2009, she has promoted, developed, and grown the event and the brand to over 80 cities worldwide, becoming the sole owner of the Diner en Blanc trademark and company in 2022. Born to a family of entrepreneurs, and relocating to many countries before settling in Canada, Safi’s international upbringing influenced her sense of culture and her adaptability to new environments. Growing up in performing arts as a ballerina, Safi then worked behind the curtain as a lighting assistant and stage manager. She had the privilege to gain experience in prestigious locations such as the the Los Angeles Opera, the Casino de Paris, and Barcelona\'s Gran Teatre del Liceu. Safi also toured the US with Cavalia before moving to Dubai and working at Peppermint Experience, organizing large scale raves and concerts. No matter which continent she chooses to call home, Sandy brings her team-management skills to areas like crisis management, sponsorship, negotiation, logistics, and production. Culture, creativity, and dedication always inspire her. Throughout her career, Safi has utilized her knowledge of branding, sponsor media exposure, and public relations. She has given talks at the Association of Destination Managements Executives and TEDxNYIT, and she has been awarded the Young Promoters Award (SAGE) and two Young Entrepreneur Awards—one from the Fondation Montréal Inc. and the other from the Canadian Youth Business Foundation. Safi is also certified in Sustainable Event Management with the Quebec Standards Bureau. Safi envisions great things for her company’s future. Above all else, she seeks to encourage creativity and connect culinary communities around the world.
