About Sandy S.

For the past twenty six years I have had the opportunity to grow in the field of aviation. I have maintained aircraft in the military, at a MRO and for a part 121 airline for the past 19 years. I spent years managing various aviation maintenance projects working my up to the Manager of Quality Assurance and Assistant Chief Inspector. Most recently I took on the challenge of our airline\'s Safety and Security needs as the Director Of Safety and Security. The culmination of this extensive experience has placed me in a unique position where I am capable of understanding the many different facets of aircraft maintenance and the complexities the aviation industry. I have come to understand that education, teamwork and professionalism are the main keys to success in this business and work hard to foster that environment wherever I go. I grew up in Littleton Colorado with one younger brother and one younger sister. My mother and father are both from Colorado as well. I graduated from Columbine high school where I met my wife and we have been married for over twenty six years. After high school I enlisted in the United States Air Force. I was a KC-10A Crew Chief stationed at Travis AFB in Northern California. I was honorably discharged at the end of my enlistment in 1997. We moved to Seattle where I worked at an MRO for over four years. In 2001 We returned to Denver just before our first child was born. I went to work for Frontier Airlines and have been there ever since. We have two beautiful daughters that make us laugh every day. We enjoy spending time together as a family, barbecuing in the back yard and spending hot afternoons at the pool. We all enjoy the out doors. In the summer we love to camp, fish, ride ATV\'s and explore in the mountains. In the winter months we enjoy skiing. Working for an airline provides many travel opportunities that we take advantage of whenever possible.
