As a nationally prominent restructuring attorney, I am highly experienced in every aspect of insolvency and restructuring work, both in and out of court. I have worked extensively across the U.S. and overseas, most notably as debtor’s counsel. Though I am creative and always prefer a negotiated resolution, I can be a tough litigator. In fact, the National Law Journal has named me one of the Fifty Top Women Litigators in the US. As a founder and chair of practice groups at global law firms, I am a proven leader, team builder, entrepreneur and business developer. I have served as in-house counsel and have significant hands on experience in cross border matters, corporate transactions, litigation, and corporate governance. Typical representations include debtors, creditors’ and bondholders’ committees, other secured creditors, unsecured creditors, investors in distressed situations and claims traders. I have also completed the S.D.N.Y. mediation training. The legal industry looks to my groundbreaking work in fraudulent conveyance law and corporate governance of troubled companies. Clients commend my creative problem solving ability, consensus building, work ethic and integrity. I have written and lectured internationally on bankruptcy topics, particularly on fraudulent conveyance law, trading claims and cross-border insolvencies. I have been a guest commentator for CNN, NBC and Fox and quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and other media. I am currently building my practice as a solo practitioner, but am also looking for a full-time opportunity in the restructuring field, whether in-house, at a firm, or in an advisory capacity. I am available to serve as a director of distressed entities, an examiner, mediator or chapter 11 trustee.
