ABOUT SANDRA K. YOUNG

Experienced Human Resource Professional with over 25 years of progressive experience specializing in HR policy, project management, performance management, recruiting and hiring processes, talent acquisition, succession planning, and employee training. Even though my experience is in various aspects of HR, my passion and greatest success is in the area of recruiting and hiring. As Global HR Succession Planning Analyst, one of my responsibilities included recruiting entry-level HR talent for the HR professional development program and HR internships through on campus college recruiting events. This work was personally rewarding and motivating to me because I had the opportunity to work with high caliber people and watch them progress and succeed in various HR positions throughout their careers.I offer a deep HR background and am a skilled relationship builder with the ability to work effectively with all levels in an organization. My recent experience includes HR consulting for 2500 on-site and 1500 virtual employees at Caterpillar. In this role, I served as a liaison between HR process owners & service center groups and Corporate HR, Compensation + Benefits, and Payroll to coordinate the resolution of employee issues.Significant accomplishments: Partnered with HR Managers to develop, pilot, and implement a standard HR Orientation Awareness training for new supervisors which became part of recommended HR learning. Conducted over 25 on-campus interview events to recruit talent, coordinated interview conferences held in Peoria, IL area, and made recommendations for the hiring of entry level HR talent. To drive alignment, engagement and performance, facilitated customized training sessions for over 1900 U.S- based employees on a new Oracle Taleo system.I am looking for an exciting permanent part-time opportunity with a dynamic organization as an HR Generalist or in the area of teaching, recruiting, training, or talent development.
