About Sandra Boucher-Bessent

As the Wise Widow Coach™ and a Certified Grief Educator, I am called to walk alongside widows during one of the most disorienting seasons of life—early widowhood. After experiencing the sudden loss of my own husband, I came to understand firsthand the chaos, confusion, and overwhelm that often follows, especially when navigating unfamiliar paperwork, legal responsibilities, and unexpected financial decisions while grieving. I completed my Certified Grief Educator training through a program developed by renowned grief expert David Kessler, equipping me to provide grief-informed education and guidance that honors both the emotional and practical realities of loss.Through Wise Widow Coaching, I help widows navigate the administrative, business, legal, and financial aspects of spousal loss through both One-on-One and Group Coaching. I also support soon-to-be widows whose spouses have received a terminal diagnosis by helping them pre-plan and prepare—reducing chaos and confusion before the death—through my Widow Planner program. In addition, I curate Pampered Widow grief gift boxes to offer comfort and care long after the flowers have faded, the casseroles have been eaten, and the cards have stopped coming. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in God’s promises of comfort and hope. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, ESV). Widows do not need to rush their grief or carry their burdens alone. My role is to help make sense of what feels overwhelming by offering gentle structure, so widows feel informed and supported to take the next right step—and then the next.Through Wise Widow Coaching, I guide each widow’s progress one step at a time toward peace of mind and peace of heart. Together, we transform confusion into clarity, unfinished tasks into manageable action plans, and fear into stability. The result is not only the satisfaction of completed responsibilities, but the assurance that you are cared for, supported, and capable of moving forward—one steady, faithful step at a time. What awesome OUTCOME/S I get for my coaching clients? HEALTHY, WEALTHY, & WISE!A clear understanding of what to do, when to do it, and in what order it must be done.Completion of initial tasks and responsibilities of death/estate management Peace of mind regarding financial futureIndependence & Confidence in moving forward without relying on friends or family.Maintaining a healthy, wealthy, and wise well-balanced lifestyle in physical, emotional, spiritual disciplines.

No one warns you about the chaos after loss… I Had to Learn the Hard WayHi, I’m Sandra Boucher-Bessent, A Wise Widow!I didn’t choose the widow-hood path. One moment I was married. and the next, I was a widow. The emotional loss alone was crushing. But what came next—the paperwork, the deadlines, the financial confusion—felt like an entirely new kind of grief. I was overwhelmed.I had no idea where to start. And twice. someone tried to scam me out of money I didn’t even know I had. I eventually hired an attorney—only to find out later that I didn’t actually need one. The truth is, I was navigating a storm with no map. That’s why I created The Widow’s Guide Checklist—to make sure no woman ever has to go through what I went through, not without support. With a background in Youth and Family Ministry, and my own personal journey through widowhood, I developed what I now call The Wise Widow Way: a compassionate, faith-rooted, step-by-step approach that combines practical planning with emotional support. And it all begins with my complimentary Wise Widow\'s Guide checklist. The Wise Widow\'s checklist gives a clear path forward—organized, doable, and made with care so a widow can bring calm to the chaos—one step at a time. DM me for your complimentary copy.
