Projects completed focused on tribal boundary/land and sovereignty issues. I have worked extensively with Spanish- and Mexican-era documents for over 35 years, and have studied Spanish since 1978. I have a working knowledge of Portuguese and beginning Russian. My professional career as a professor of the American West and Latin America have expanded my expertise of the greater West, including Alaska and Hawai\'i. I have published numerous books which highlight my expertise, two of which have won awards (see below under publications).My goal is to provide my students with a compassionate and student-centered education, and my clients with a broad and extensive research scope, a well-documented product, and excellent communication throughout the entire process.
