ABOUT SANDRA DAVIS MED CMGR

I have over 20 years’ experience in education (independent and state schools; university; governance) in a variety of roles (senior leadership; computer science; music). My unusual breadth of educational experience is enhanced by industry experience in software engineering and accountancy. Currently, I am Deputy Head Innovation at Godolphin where I use my unique blend of educational, technological, and financial skills and experience to drive organisational change. Previously, as Director of Digital Strategy I spearheaded Godolphin’s digital transformation. In 2023, ISI praised the impact of my work, commenting on the “particularly strong and productive culture of using ICT to its best effect” and my successful implementation of “significant staff and people training and the development of high-quality infrastructure and resources” (ISI, March 2023). In 2022/23, my academic projects included major curriculum and co-curricular reviews. These have resulted in an increased curriculum focus on ‘Future Skills’ and a reduction in the number of GCSEs for most students to facilitate this, plus a restructured school day to increase co-curricular opportunities and enhance organisational flexibility. My business projects included an internal communications review, PowerBI dashboards to improve data-driven decision-making, automation of processes using Power Automate to drive operational excellence, and various business responses to the ever-changing external environment. Outside work I indulge my passions for outdoor activities, travel, and music. To track me down in the vicinity of my camper somewhere in the UK or Europe, you’ll need to keep an eye out for mountain bikers, paddleboarders, snowboarders, hikers, and swimmers. Or you might spot me singing in the alto section in my local community choir.
