ABOUT SANDRA GONZALEZ
I am a pragmatic legal advisor who seeks to understand the business first and then design mitigation measures to complement existing business processes. At HID, I lead the Ethics & Corporate Compliance program on a global basis with a focus on Ethics & Business Conduct, Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Competition & Antitrust, Third Party Risk Management & Due Diligence, Conflicts of Interest, Whistleblowing, Reporting Concerns & Anti-Retaliation, Investigations, and Acquisition Due Diligence & Integration.I\'ve always been a curious person who wants things to work the way they were designed. I\'ve learned over the last 13+ years as a lawyer that: 1. I love digging into thorny problems and solving them. Whether it\'s taking apart my dishwasher or designing compliance solutions, this is my happy place. My favorite part of my job is learning the business and designing solutions that actually work in practice and not just on paper. I thrive when I interact with people from different backgrounds, whether it\'s cultural, technical, educational, etc. I\'ve had the opportunity to collaborate with and leverage stakeholders across diverse functions to achieve compliance project objectives. I enjoy leading compliance projects and maintaining a big picture view of the risk we need to address. Compliance solutions are meant to be tweaked, refined, and optimized.
