About Sandi Delack
RN and nationally certified school nurse. Experienced Health Services Coordinator with a demonstrated history of working in the healthcare and wellness industry. Skilled in leadership, disease prevention and health promotion, nursing education, and school nursing. Following 12 years of nursing experience at The Miriam Hospital, I was employed as a RI certified school nurse-teacher and health services coordinator for 31 years. During that time, I served as President of RI Certified School Nurse-Teachers Association (RICSNTA), the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and the National Board for Certification of School Nurses (NBCSN). As an independent nurse consultant, I have provided national presentations for the Bureau of Education and Research (BER), the Vector Borne Disease Alliance, and independent presentations on to educate school nurses on Individualized Healthcare Plans. I served as adjunct professor at Providence College for several semesters, teaching Special education majors about managing special healthcare needs in the classroom. Additionally, I provide an annual symposium on health issues in the classroom for senior education students at the University of Rhode Island. I recently served as Vice President of the Accrediation Board for Specialty Nursing Certfication (ABSNC) and will begin my role as Executive Director of NBCSN on 12/01/2023.
