Hospital providers strive to accurately price and collect reimbursement for their services; however, challenges in this task are inevitable. And despite having a well-designed revenue cycle, these challenges create a common problem: errors, resulting in revenue loss. Some of these challenges include conducting a back-end review of: • Charge capture and CDM maintenance • Accurate diagnosis and procedure coding assignments • Unique payer contract provisions/coding updates to trigger appropriate proration I am passionate about helping close these gaps in revenue loss, as revenue is necessary to support the mission of these hospital systems—and ultimately provide quality patient care.
