During my internship, I was entrusted with the end-to-end development of a critical internal tool: the HC & Billing Portal. I spearheaded this project from concept to a fully functional web application, designed to streamline data management and automate key workflows for the Human Capital and Billing department.This initiative transformed a manual, error-prone process into a centralized, efficient, and data-driven system.Key Responsibilities & Accomplishments:Full-Stack Development: Architected and built a complete web application using Python (Flask) for the backend and vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for a dynamic, responsive front-end.Data Management & Integrity: Engineered a robust data persistence layer using openpyxl and pandas to interact with an Excel backend, implementing a \"safe save\" mechanism to prevent data corruption and ensure reliability.API & Backend Logic: Developed a comprehensive RESTful API to handle all CRUD operations, including a multi-parameter search functionality that allows users to query data with precision.Data Visualization & Analytics: Created an interactive analytics dashboard using Chart.js, featuring line and bar charts to visualize key business metrics like monthly CTC, PO rates, and profitability, providing the team with actionable insights.Process Automation: Designed and integrated an automated email notification system using smtplib to proactively alert stakeholders about expiring Purchase Orders, mitigating financial risk.User-Centric Features: Implemented a full-featured settings panel allowing administrators to manage application parameters, including the configuration of email alert recipients.UI/UX Design: Crafted an intuitive user interface with modern features like dark mode, animated elements (Vanta.js), and user-friendly notifications (SweetAlert2) to enhance the user experience.Technologies Used: Python, Flask, Pandas, Openpyxl, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Chart.js, SweetAlert2, JSON, Git.
