About Sander Vinberg

I\'m an information security researcher. I specialize in discovering trends, anomalies and discontinuities in information security, then communicating those findings in an actionable form. Past foci include vulnerability intelligence, credential stuffing, phishing, and ransomware. I am also a member of the EPSS Special Interest Group, and my vulnerability intelligence work has previously been incorporated as training data in EPSS.As of March 2024 I am also a manager of other security researchers, where my focus is on alignment, coordination, and maturity in research operations, in addition to the baseline of just doing great research and finding cool stuff.

   I manage a team of researchers tasked with cultivating raw data into actionable, modelable, and scalable measures of security risk, then transferring them to product teams to incorporate into Bitsight products and features. Much of my time is spent collaborating with my team on research initiatives, working with product managers to align research with product needs, or reading papers to stay abreast of advances in the field.
