ABOUT SANDEEP SINGH
I am an experienced clinical cardiologist with over 24 years of experience in noninvasive cardiology. Proficient in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac nuclear imaging, ambulatory electrocardiographic interpretation, lipid and hypertension management with a focus on primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Co-leader of a Division of over 20 providers, Director of the Noninvasive Cardiology Lab, Former Chairman of the Department of Cardiology and Noninvasive Cardiology Lab Director at Garnet Health Medical Center has given me broad scope in all aspects of leadership. Presently now an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Cardiology at the Mount Sinai Health System. One of the main challenges in healthcare is improving the patient and provider experience. In order to succeed, organizations must be able to solve this critical piece of the puzzle. Without a high quality patient experience, no organization can meaningfully improve the health of the population it serves. In my free time, I am focused on connecting the Sikh youth of the tristate area to their spiritual path and and educate them about their history and traditions. I have attended, initially as a camper and then as an organizer, Camp Chardi Kala, a summer Sikh youth camp designed to inspire young Sikhs to connect to their path. I am also on the Board of Guru Nanak Mission, a Gurudwara (Sikh House of Worship) in Oakland, NJ, where my wife and I serve the Sikh Academy for Gurmat Education, a Sunday school for Sikh children. This year, I was fortunate enough to join the Board of the Sikh Coalition, the nation\'s largest SIkh civil rights organization. My interests include my three adult children, who I am proud to consider the greatest gifts the Divine has given us, and my dear wife, without whom I would not have been able to achieve anything. I am a sports nut, enjoy playing with technology, and recent participant in the online education space where I am now developing my first course in Clinical Cardiology for the Non-Cardiologist.
