As a Command Area Manager at Varun Motors, my responsibilities encompassed the comprehensive oversight and strategic development of a designated geographical sales and service region. I was tasked with driving sales targets for new vehicles, used cars, and after-sales services across multiple dealerships within my command area. This involved meticulous planning of brand-wise retail strategies for each location and ensuring optimal vehicle dispatch to meet demand.A key aspect of my role was to manage and expand the existing network of Authorized Service Dealers (ASDs), identifying market gaps, and scouting for new partners to enhance market penetration. I ensured adherence to journey cycle plans for effective coverage of all ASDs and closely monitored their working capital to facilitate proper fund rotation. My focus was on achieving all sales and service targets, continuously analyzing competitor activities, and implementing proactive measures.Beyond sales, I was instrumental in ensuring high customer satisfaction throughout the command area by addressing grievances, mediating conflicts, and gathering informal feedback from customers. Backend operations included managing all transactions between the dealership and ASDs, conducting monthly reconciliations of stocks and funds, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and sales performance. This demanding role required strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of automotive sales, inventory management, and customer service to drive profitability and operational excellence.
