Sandeep joined PwC India in 2005 in the TMT (Technology, Entertainment & Media and Telecommunications) tax practice. Since 2011 he has been the India Tax Leader, and then during 2013 to 2019 he was the India cross line of service Leader, for the Technology & eCommerce Sector. From 2017, he has an additional responsibility as the Global TMT Tax Leader for the PwC global network. He is also member of PwC\'s Extended Global Tax Leadership Team. From 2019, he assumed additional responsibility as the Mumbai City Tax Practice Leader and is also member of PwC’s Extended India Tax Leadership Team. Career highlights include – - Combined work experience of 26 years working with several TMT clients - Worked with several Indian as well as US, Europe, Singapore and other MNC groups - Successfully conducted several road shows to the US, Europe, South East Asia etc in collaboration with several PwC Network Partners over the past 7+ years - Created brand defining Thought Leaderships in the TMT space - Involved from inception and provided Tax and strategic advice to Vodafone in relation to their Tax litigation involving US$ 2.2 billion of tax liability in India (on Indirect transfers)- Deep understanding of the functioning of each of the TMT sectors, especially the Tax challenges companies face - Frequent interactions with the media to express views on government policy in the TMT space and also on latest Tax and Regulatory developments, including key Tax controversies- Ranked as the Top Global Spokesperson for the TMT cluster for Q2 2014 - Invited regularly by industry forums to provide Key Note industry address and to chair panel discussions on key TMT industry topics - Appeared for several weeks in the \'PwC Global Power 100\'- a PwC Global Leaderboard for social media influencers around the PwC world.
