About Sandeep Kumar Singh

I am a genetic epidemiologist with research expertise in identifying genetic variants underlying human health and disease, with a strong focus on gene–environment interactions and effect modification by age, sex, and ancestry. My PhD and postdoctoral research involved multiple genome-wide association studies (GWAS), including sex- and age-specific analyses in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia, supported by competitive research grants. My work spans cancer genomics, immunogenetics, autoimmune disorders, HLA region functional genomics, X-chromosome analysis, survival analysis, and systems biology approaches.I have extensive experience in statistical genetics, epidemiology, and bioinformatics, complemented by strong skills in data science and computational biology. I am proficient in R and Python and routinely use libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for statistical modeling, machine learning, and large-scale data analysis. More recently, I have expanded my expertise into Generative AI, including large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), NLP pipelines, embeddings, and agent-based workflows, applying these methods to biomedical data integration, literature mining, and knowledge discovery.
