Here are the primary job responsibilities typically associated with this role: 1.Receive and process emergency calls, including fire, medical, and other emergencies. 2.Dispatch appropriate fire, rescue, and medical units to the scene. 3.Provide vital information and instructions to firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency responders. 4.Monitor fire alarm systems, surveillance cameras, and other security systems to detect signs of fire, smoke, or other hazards. 5.Conduct routine checks of fire safety equipment, including alarms, sprinklers, and extinguishers, to ensure they are operational. 6.Maintain clear and continuous communication with fire units, emergency personnel, and other relevant agencies. 7.Use radio, telephone, and computer systems to coordinate response efforts efficiently. 8.Maintain accurate logs of all emergency calls, actions taken, and outcomes. 9.Prepare incident reports and document any issues with equipment or procedures. 10.Record the arrival and departure times of emergency personnel and vehicles. 11.Assist in the coordination of firefighting efforts by providing information on building layouts, hydrant locations, and hazardous materials. 12.Monitor the progress of firefighting efforts and provide updates to commanding officers and other relevant authorities. 13.Ensure that all communication channels are clear and operational during emergency situations. 14.Regularly inspect and maintain control room equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly. 15.Report any malfunctions or issues with fire alarm systems, communication devices, or other equipment. 16.Coordinate with maintenance personnel to repair or replace faulty equipment. 17.Provide information to the public or building occupants during fire drills or in emergency situations. 18.Educate employees on fire safety measures and evacuation procedures.
