Senior executive with 27 years of experience working in the power sector in a variety of different functional roles and in different types of companies – project development and asset management in an infrastructure fund, head of global power consulting and business development/sales for an EPC firm, head of renewable energy and head of project development for an international IPP, finance, strategy and risk at a utility and project finance at an investment bank. Involved extensively in commercial contract negotiations and financial evaluation of projects. Experienced in managing diligence teams, outside consultants and dealing with senior management. Highly motivated and result oriented individual with the ability to lead and work with a diverse team of people. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.As a senior executive at the fund manager SDCL, Sandeep is responsible for organic growth at one of the funds and for originating and developing complex greenfield projects at the other fund. He is also the technology expert helping the funds in technology decisions. As SVP of Global Power Consulting and VP of Business Development, Sandeep led the global growth of Advisian, the front-end advisory and consulting business of Worley, in the power and water sectors. Previously, as Senior Director of the Fossil Power practice, Sandeep grew a consulting practice focused on owners engineering, transaction advisory and lender’s engineering. The team participated as Owner’s Engineer for over 10 GW of new power projects over the last 5-years. and supported a number of acquisition and lender\'s independent engineering transactions.Prior to this Sandeep built and grew TAQA\'s renewable energy generation portfolio including greenfield development and acquisition for wind farms and solar thermal plants in the US and Morocco. In the past he has also managed BD in North America and India with responsibility for both origination and execution. Sandeep also served on the Board of Directors and as asset manager for a power plant. He has worked in Michigan for about 8 years for a US utility getting heavily involved in asset acquisitions and divestitures, strategic planning and risk management during challenging times for the industry. He helped them sell a couple gas pipelines in Australia and then grew the utility rate base by acquiring a gas fired power plant. He was also involved in the greenfield development of a 1600 MW coal-fired power plant in Northern Illinois.He spent his initial years working for an investment bank doing project finance.
