Technical Navigatior at Scotiabank • Responsible for the delivery of complex technical solutions by identifying and removing impediments, supporting the team, and encouraging practices in accordance with agile principles. • The role coordinates infrastructure delivery and support activities and ensures deliverables are of the highest quality while adhering to defined release, change, project and architectural standards and methodologies. • Empowered to introduce better ways to drive team productivity and guide the team by embodying agile values, facilitating ceremonies and supporting a culture of continuous improvement and shared practices. Actively participate in developing and maintaining a high performing, self-organizing team. • Coordinate infrastructure and IT Risk management activities on all Human Resource applications with key focus on infrastructure procurement, Firewall Port Requests, email whitelisting, etc. • Maintain project updates, attestation and files; this pertains to project documentation, approvals, drawdowns, spreadsheets, meeting minutes, monthly status reports, third party contracts and other correspondence and documentation as appropriate. Skill Set: • Creative, self-starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated individual with a technical background who can apply their knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems that are multi-dimensional. • Further, able to demonstrate leadership skills with very good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain co-operation from the team, end-users and senior management, good time management and organizational skills, effectively manage agile stories and/or assigned projects, while planning and scheduling resources within these to optimize productivity. • Possess a detailed understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies with an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each.
