Anti-Money Laundering• Develop effective and continuous analysis regarding financial transactions related to money transfer services from Vodacom or other products and services from Vodafone.• Prepare reports that identify suspicious transactions and activities.• Using techniques of criminal intelligence analysis to identify the nature of activities of organized crime.• Report incidents under the legislation of Anti - Money Laundering to the appropriate authorities.• Identify and repair existing weaknesses in our systems and processes:• Presenting results of the analysis adequately and namely.• Search strategies as required in relation to threats of fraud, risk and security.• Managing PEP and Sanctions screening.• Identifying weaknesses in the system and opportunities for improvement• Conduct Induction on AML for new employees.• Annually conduct Refresh AML Training for all employees and contractors working directly or indirectly with M-Pesa.Compliance• Identify, evaluate and control the different types of risks assumed, implementing policies and respective methodologies.• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and ethical rules by Vodafone M-Pesa and its employees.• Advise Management on internal laws, rules and procedures;• Issue opinion on new products and services designed by M-Pesa.• Review internal policies.• Monitor, evaluate and internally disclose the legislation and standards published by regulatory and supervisory bodies and by the Institution itself.• Handle, control and review the following information systems.• Assist the other departments in managing the operational risk management structure, through the activities of identifying and evaluating risks in processes and new products as well as the continuous process of communication.• Assist process managers, providing the necessary tool for the evaluation and management of risks identified by them.• Implement a compliance culture.
