About Sandeep Bangalore
During my journey home after a long day at work, I often find myself racking my brain for the lacking semicolon in my code that seemingly wants to play a game of hide and seek with me, pondering about mastering the highest level on a video game, or making fluid strokes on my Wacom tablet as I create a piece of art. Over the course of my life, these interests have influenced my choices to such a great extent that with the hope of finding an appropriate link to bind these interests towards a career,I ventured into the world of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Over the past one year I have worked with a wide range of technologies in this area. I have converted the Oculus to act as an AR device, designed experiences on the HoloLens for medical personnel, created an exposure therapy idea using ARCore and performed many mini projects with Vuforia. As a Junior AR/VR Engineer at Stanley Black and Decker, I am currently working on a remote AR assitance application with ARCore. Replaced the HoloLens tracking with VIVE trackers for improved accuracy and ventured the world of Magic Leap. Over the summer of 2018, I also had an opportunity to teach a class of 20 high school teachers the basics of AR, which would potentially help them author experiences to augment their teaching process.
