Location: Coal Mining Head QuartersRole: Mine Planning & Design of coal mines and identifying new blocks (Aug’23 – Present)• Provided technical support for mid-term, and short-term production planning of operational mines: Pakri Barwadih, Talaipalli, Dulanga, Chatti Bariatu, and Kerandari.• Conducted techno-commercial analysis of blocks put up for auction by the Ministry of Coal and the Ministry of Mines for participation in the auction. NTPC won the North Dhadu - Eastern Part (4 MTPA) coal block in the auction conducted by the Ministry of Coal, Government of India.• Provided technical support for greenfield activities at coal blocks in the development stage: Badam and North Dhadu - Eastern Part, including conducting geological modelling, pit optimization studies, and long-term planning for the same.• Prepared cost estimates for outsourcing mine operation activities for non-operational mines on a 5 to 10-year contract basis. Planned pit progression and equipment selection for these mines. • Carried out an assessment of long-term (25 years) Mine Developer-cum-Operator (MDO) contracts to incorporate provisions for adapting to geo-technical variations over the course of the contract. Location: Coal Mining Head QuartersRole: Technical advisor to Regional Management (Apr’22 – Aug’23)• Conducted a study to increase the evacuation capacity at the discharge end of the belt conveyor at Pakri Barwadih coal mine, to improve coal evacuation from tonnes per day to tonnes per day.• Monitored operational and administrative activities for all coal mines. Assessed operational parameters and planned requirements to ensure progress according to the planned schedule of operating mines.• Developed a MS SharePoint website to act as a centralized location for storage of all correspondences / literature on coal mining / legislations / government directives etc. for all the coal mines and coal mining headquarters.
