About Sanchetna Girdhar

I am a Biotechnology undergraduate at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology with a strong academic foundation in molecular biology, functional genomics, and translational biomedical sciences. My primary interest lies in understanding gene regulation, genome organization and the molecular mechanisms underlying disease, particularly through the integration of experimental and computational approaches.My training includes hands-on experience in core molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA/RNA isolation, agarose gel electrophoresis, microbial culture handling, and ELISA. During my internship at Panacea Biotec Ltd, I worked within GLP-compliant laboratory systems, gaining exposure to microbiological assays, analytical documentation, and quality-controlled experimental workflows.In parallel, I have also developed computational proficiency in R for bioinformatics with application in biological data analysis and visualization. I am familiar with various bioinformatics tools, along with foundational transcriptomic data handling. My academic direction is centered on integrating molecular experimentation with data-driven biological analysis to investigate functional genomic regulation.I am actively seeking research-intensive environments that demand analytical rigor, technical precision, and sustained scientific inquiry.
