At Discover Financial Services, my role as Senior Manager Cybersecurity is anchored in enhancing our cyber resilience through strategic risk and controls management. This mandate builds on a robust foundation from my previous 8.5-year tenure as Information Security Officer at the International Monetary Fund, where cybersecurity and risk mitigation were paramount in supporting global financial stability. With over fifteen years of experience in IT and Cyber risk advisory, I have developed and implemented effective strategies and solutions for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC), risk management, security analysis and metrics, and cloud security across various platforms and systems. My approach is to integrate these technical competencies with a keen understanding of the financial industry\'s security landscape to deliver solutions that safeguard stakeholders\' interests and contribute to the overarching mission of trust and safety in digital finance. I have demonstrated my domain expertise and thought leadership by presenting at several prestigious conferences, such as RSA, ISACA, Metricon, and FS-ISAC, on topics such as Cloud Security, GenAI/AI Third Party Risk, Security Metrics, and Digitalization. I am passionate about staying abreast of the latest trends and developments in the field of information security, and I strive to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our stakeholders.
