About Sanah Batta

I am a lawyer, educationist, and school leader dedicated to building safer, more informed and future-ready schools across India. As Trustee of Bloom Public School and State Chair – New Delhi for FICCI ARISE, my work sits at the intersection of law, education policy and child protection.Over the years, I’ve contributed to some of India’s most important national resources for legal literacy and school safety. I co-authored the CBSE Legal Studies Textbook and the NCERT Legal Literacy Manual, both designed to bring legal understanding into the heart of school education. I also authored the FICCI ARISE School Safety and Child Protection Manual, a comprehensive framework now used by schools and educators across the country. Most recently, I collaborated with ECIS to develop India-specific online child protection courses that strengthen the safety capacities of educators and school leaders.What drives me is a simple but urgent belief: every child deserves safety, dignity, and the knowledge to navigate the world with confidence. Whether it’s designing child protection systems, building national manuals, training educators, or speaking at forums across India, my mission is to bridge the gap between what schools teach and what young people actually need to thrive in today’s complex social and digital environments.I am now focused on expanding this work nationally advancing legal literacy in all schools, strengthening school governance and compliance systems, and shaping policy conversations around child protection and 21st-century education. My goal is to help build an education landscape where safety, rights awareness, and civic competence are foundational pillars, not afterthoughts.
