As an Educational Assistant, I provide direct support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in a classroom environment. I implement strategies and recommendations from Teachers and Consultants to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. By adapting classroom activities to meet each student’s needs, I help foster an inclusive and supportive educational setting.I actively participate in Individual Program Plan (IPP) meetings, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Behaviour Consultants and regularly meet with my mentor to enhance my professional skills. Additionally, I document student progress to ensure alignment with individualized goals, contributing to their overall success.
