ABOUT SAMYUKTHA VIJAYAKUMAR NAIR

I am a rising senior at Edison High School passionate about aiding underserved communities through nutritional and educational advocacy. I am an award-winning researcher, the student lead of a child brain development intervention study, and the founder of an international literacy-building non-profit organization. I have experience interning at a GenAI tech startup, a book publishing firm, and national children\'s nutritional organizations. Notably, I have worked with American Dairy Association Northeast and the National Football League (NFL) through the Fuel Up Program since 5th grade to promote student wellness, nutrition, and sustainability. I also work with Food Research and Action Center, the leading anti-hunger advocacy organization in the US, to discuss policy changes and ensure access to healthy food for all. I am a strong critical thinker, problem solver, and innovative student. I am also an avid writer and poet. After graduating with 4 years of honors from a selective NJ-based program in college-level creative writing in my sophomore year, I have continued my passion for writing through poetry. My nonprofit organization teaches poetry to students globally. My poetry book,\"You Called Her Pretty: The Anthology\" has been accepted by ZV Press to be published in 2026. I plan on pursuing a career in neuroeconomics and strategic decision modeling in the future.
