Projects at the University at Buffalo“UB Screen Builder”• Proposed and designed the UB Screen builder, a touch based editor software for teaching cause and effect to individuals with learning disabilities. “Group Messenger”• Implemented a Group Messenger on the android platform which would maintain causality when messages are being sent from different devices.“Network Sim”• Setting up the simulation, getting to know details of networking parameters using ns2 was the a major learning from this project along with the variance of end to end delay and throughput on tweaking packet sizes and channel transmission rates.“Clustering Based Anomaly Detection in Wikipedia Revision History” (Master’s Project)• An analysis of Wikipedia articles’ edit statistics and implementation of parallel clustering algorithms to find out pages which might need Wiki Administrators’ attention was my master’s project. • Had a dual implementation of the approach,one using Apache Mahout libraries and for the other, modified the DBSCAN clustering algorithm and parallelized it using OpenMP to run on massive sets of data and detect patters in clusters based on features and outliers which might need administrative attention.“Carly’s Club Charity Auction”• Organized a fundraiser event for Carly’s club in a team of seven, linked to the Roswell Park Cancer Research institute. • The event raised over $5200 in a single evening and earned great appreciation from Carly’s Club.
