Actually understanding why every layer exists — how a request moves through FastAPI, how PostgreSQL handles transactions, what breaks under real load.That foundation is what led me to build ProdScan.I reviewed an AI-generated fintech app recently. Nine months of work. Never reached production. Exposed Supabase keys in GitHub. Broken Stripe webhooks. No RLS configured — every user could read every other user\'s data. No tests. No CI/CD.The founder had no idea.This is the gap AI tools create. They build fast. But fast is not the same as secure. And security is not their job.It is mine.I built ProdScan to solve this — a security audit service specifically for apps built with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, and Replit. Every audit runs against the ProdScan 10 framework — 10 critical security checks — and produces a score out of 100. Apps that score 90+ get the ProdScan Certified badge.What I have found across every AI-generated codebase I have reviewed — API keys exposed in git history— Supabase RLS not configured— Stripe webhooks with no signature verification— No rate limiting on any endpoint— Stack traces returning raw to the client— Zero observability in productionNone of this is the founder\'s fault. AI tools are not built to think about security. That requires a human who understands systems, failure modes, and what actually breaks when real users show up.I am that human-On the engineering side — I build backend systems with Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL.
