ABOUT SAMYABRATA SEN
I am a PhD student studying the Type IX Secretion System (T9SS), currently, its role in Flavobacterium gliding motility. My work combines experimental and computational approaches to understand how these non-flagellated bacteria move and interact with their environment. With a strong background in life sciences, I have hands-on experience in biophysical, microbiological, and computational techniques.Before my PhD, I worked on PCR-based SERS detection for mutation analysis in crops. Now, I apply my expertise in Python to develop models that integrate experimental data with computational insights, helping to uncover the fundamental mechanisms of bacterial motility. In the future, I aim to expand my research into the gut microbiome, exploring how bacterial secretion systems influence host interactions and microbial ecosystems.
