About Samya Ghosal

I like to tell people that I grew up on videogames, TV, and books. Most of it is true. I have always loved stories and games. So that is what I decided to do professionally. Write/Tell stories that people can find some form of meaning in and design games that they can immerse themselves in. Down there, on my list of job experiences, you\'ll find a career switch. I graduated as an engineer and worked in the automobile industry for a while (And so it goes.), before I could switch (sort of)\"towards\" something that was close to me. But the real switch happened in 2020 when I could finally work in the field of videogames, doing both. Telling stories and designing games. The last couple of years of my life were formative where I could bring 20+ years of experiencing videogames (every generation so far and. yes even \"shovel-ware\" sometimes). All the years I had tried analyzing the games that I loved and pick-up the skills needed (whenever I could), clicked in. Some of the key skills I picked up along the way were engine familiarity (Unity), working with voice artists, script writing for VO artists, understanding the workflow of game-making, among others. All of this put together allowed me be a part of 30+ game development projects of varying scopes, in a span of 1.5 years. Its been excellent working, doing what I love doing, and I am excited to keep moving forward and push myself further.
