ABOUT SAMVAT BHARDWAJ

I\'m an undergraduate student of Economics at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy, with a minor in International Affairs and Diplomacy. My academic work and personal interests sit at the intersection of national security, public policy, and economics, particularly where these domains shape and constrain the choices of states and institutions.Much of my research thinking is oriented toward questions of strategic deterrence, military affairs, non-traditional security, and how these interact with domestic political economy. I’m also interested in how identity, development, and electoral politics influence and are influenced by broader policy frameworks in India. I also take notional interest in financial markets, monetary policy and their broad effects on non-traditional security.Outside the classroom, I serve as General Secretary of Policy Corner, a university-wide public policy society. In that role, I help organize dialogues, mentor students, and create platforms for interdisciplinary learning and critique. I\'m also fortunate enough to be the Chair for the maiden edition of the Jindal Policy Conclave. I\'m also a long distance runner, a university parliamentary debater, I try to approach most things with curiosity, discipline, and respect for complexity. I\'m still learning and always open to perspectives that challenge my own, something that ideally one\'s university education should expose them to.
