Built and led TikTok Shop’s first Seller Governance Intelligence and Enforcement LLM program from the ground up. Defined the strategy, authored requirement documentation, and built a team of prompt engineers, providing end-to-end management to develop models that proactively identified prohibited and IP infringing products with 90%+ accuracy- Partnered with engineering, data, and policy teams to design and deliver automated enforcement strategies against high risk TikTok Shop sellers by leading the development of two machine learning models: one that proactively flags 400–500 shops daily selling prohibited/illegal products, and another that detects onboarding circumvention through fraud patterns (fake documentation, shared payment IDs, etc.), achieving 99.4% precision- Audited internal data tables and uncovered critical gaps such as missing or mislabeled values. Collaborated with data engineering teams to restructure seller governance datasets, ensuring accuracy and completeness to support more reliable insight generation- Created a centralized case management tool that improved data access for TikTok moderation teams, enabling them to more efficiently review and reject prohibited products and high risk sellers attempting to list or onboard onto the platform, resulting in a 66% increase in investigation efficiency and higher rejection rates of bad actors- Facilitate bi-weekly data review meetings with the TikTok global governance leadership team to analyze organizational metrics, identify operational inefficiencies, and drive strategic improvements across enforcement and risk initiatives.
