Every decision makes a difference and every person matters. I am a firm believer that every conversation can help to develop a culture that can make-or-break an organization. As a Director of Facilities in the healthcare industry, I had the opportunity to lead our non-clinical staff in the mission of rebuilding patient lives. No matter what department we worked for, we focused on service and decision making. Janitorial, Maintenance, Utilities, Housekeeping, Communications, Security and Materials Management; we all played an intricate role in the success of the mission. As a Naval Officer, I supported our troops in multiple countries, sometimes concurrently. I found that involved leaders foster hard work and that no job was ever too small, especially for me.
