I’m a learner first. Always have been.Asking “why?” and “what if?” has shaped every step of my life and career. Learning isn’t something I do on the side; it’s the lens through which I work, lead, and connect with others.My first career was in finance, where I served as a corporate writer and policy communicator. I learned how large organizations function and how decisions ripple through departments. Language can build or erode trust and clear communication can drive both culture and compliance.That experience prepared me for my career as a teacher. At first glance, it was a sharp pivot. But in reality, it was a natural evolution. Teaching refined my ability to engage diverse audiences, translate complex ideas into accessible messages, and lead with empathy. It also grounded me in public service by working daily within the systems, communities, and policies that shape people’s lives.Across both careers, I’ve built a consistent throughline: connecting people and institutions through clear communication, integrity, and purpose. I’ve learned that progress, in any environment or place, starts with listening, collaboration, and curiosity.Today, I’m drawn to roles that bridge public institutions and the communities they serve. I believe in doing work that strengthens trust, improves understanding, and helps people move forward together.
