I am a Mechanical Engineer who believes that design work needs to be competitive with the market for timing, cost, and reliability. In order to make it happen, it needs to involve DOE, tolerance analysis, reliability, statistics & testing, besides simple 3D CAD work on the desk. During the last 20 years of my career, I spent most of my time making designs work with those systematic approaches, the so-called DfLSS (Design for Lean Six Sigma), for my daily design and system engineering works.
