About Sam Fraiberger
I am a computational social scientist fascinated by how the digitization of our lives allows to study social processes at an unprecedented scale, using massive datasets and data science methods. II am fortunate to have published my latest research in Science and presented it at TEDx. I am also a firm believer in the power of data and technology to solve societal challenges.I am currently part of the Data Analytics and Tools team at the World Bank, where I focus on using Big Data to tackle development challenges. I am also a visiting researcher at NYU Computer Science and at the Northeastern Network Science Institute, a fellow at the Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Science, and a senior research affiliate at Data-Pop Alliance.To clear my mind, I enjoy practicing meditation, yoga, and relaxing and the banya.
