ABOUT SAMUELE NEUBERG
I am a chemist with a PhD from the University of Padova and a strong interest in the pharmaceutical and biotech sector. My professional journey has given me the chance to work on different aspects of chemistry and biochemistry, from organic synthesis and nanotechnology to analytical development and protein characterization. What motivates me most is applying science in a practical way to support the development of new drugs and vaccines that can make a real difference in people’s lives.During my PhD, I focused on organic chemistry and nanomaterials for biomedical applications. I managed several projects in parallel, coordinated collaborations, and mentored undergraduate students. This experience strengthened my ability to plan and prioritize, to meet tight deadlines, and to communicate effectively within a team. My time abroad, including research at the Technical University of Munich and in San Sebastián, helped me grow in international and multidisciplinary environments, adapting quickly to new challenges and working styles.I also gained valuable industry experience during an internship at Clariant Produkte and more recently at GSK Vaccines. At Clariant, I was exposed to the dynamics of R&D in the chemical industry, learning how research is closely tied to business needs and innovation. At GSK, I contributed to biopharmaceutical development within a highly regulated environment, where precision, compliance, and teamwork were essential. These experiences were vital in shaping my understanding of how scientific expertise is applied in industry settings, reinforcing my motivation to pursue a career where I can bridge technical competence with organizational and collaborative skills.Across these experiences, I have built strong expertise in analytical techniques, including NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and protein characterization, combined with skills in project coordination, problem solving, and communication. My career goal is to continue developing within the pharmaceutical industry, contributing to research and development projects with dedication, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
