ABOUT SAMUEL DENNIS
My name is Sam Dennis and I am a Treasury Manager at Thrasio. I started my career in accounting before moving into the treasury world, working my way from Staff Accountant to Treasury Manager in five years with Thrasio. Along this journey I have been able to take on the new challenges and responsibilities utilizing my strong work ethic, consistency and positive attitude.I am a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management with a degree in Accounting. I am an ambitious and hardworking person who loves to learn and strives for academic and professional excellence. In addition to Accounting, I completed minors in both Economics and IT. This allowed me to graduate with the 150 credits I need for the CPA exam while also exploring other academic interests and becoming a more well rounded student.I spent my freshman year at UMass Boston in the Honors College, before transferring to the Isenberg School of Management. In my freshman year I worked hard to achieve a 4.0 GPA and acceptance into Isenberg as well as the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst. I set a goal for myself and was able to achieve it through my strong work ethic and ability to learn, and that is something that I am extremely proud of.While at UMass Amherst I was able to continue my academic success, graduating Magna Cum Laude, making the Dean\'s List every semester, and finishing with a 3.9 GPA. Additionally, I have was very involved in school activities, participating in House Council for my residence hall, performing at open-mics on campus, taking part in numerous intramural sports, and even playing ice hockey for the first time in a men\'s league on campus.I worked at Roche Bros. Supermarket for three years where I was able to work my way up to Front-End Supervisor as a result of my excellent customer service skill. I was able to utilize and constantly improve my communication and leadership skills. Beginning as a cashier and grocery clerk I put my best foot forward, and my effort was recognized. I was soon offered the chance to begin training as a Front-End Supervisor, and I jumped at the opportunity to learn a new role and take on greater responsibility.
