Can a high school job change one\'s view on work forever? It did for me.Working on a golf course maintenance crew in the North Carolina summers was tough at the time, but many of the principles I learned during that time, I still carry with me. Waking up at 5 AM when a teenager is not for everyone, but I learned discipline and the importance of being timely when I was counted on.2. Being the youngest gave me the opportunity to learn from the subject matter experts and to retain that knowledge. In a working setting, it is extremely important to rely on the expertise and feedback of others.3. After cutting grass, there is no redo button! I had to see the mistakes made, and learn from each one. A mistake is bound to happen in the professional world, and the response to that is what is important to me.I truly believe that one can grow and learn from every situation, and that is what I strive to do each day.
