Responsible and accountable for the budget, programme, health, safety, and quality in a portfolio of engineering design schemes within rail, energy and highways sectors. Working with clients such as Network Rail, HS1/HS2 and the Department for Transport. Headline projects include: o Civil Assessments Framework Agreement (CAFA)- £2.5m+ o Conventional Rail - Regional Projects Portfolio – £1m+ o South Ruislip Ventilation Shaft – Circa £600k (in conjunction with VVB Engineering and HS2) o Energy from Waste Portfolio – Circa £350kAct as bid director on multidisciplinary design tenders; often following jobs through from tender to delivery. Involves management of key disciplines to ensure all aspects of the bid are fully costed and programmed. Responsible for following governance and obtaining full settlement for all bids in line with delegated levels of authority.Maintain regular contact with key clients to understand upcoming work bank requirements and future priorities. Monitoring of pipeline to seek and identify work winning opportunities.Provide line management duties to Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers. Acting as mentor and guide to junior members of the team whilst agreeing and measuring targets for their continued development.
