WORK HISTORY
1 1 Mentoring Programme @JPMorganChase
From February 2026, I will be undertaking a six-month mentoring programme with a Senior Associate in Custody Account Services (Securities Services) at JPMorganChase, focused on developing practical skills across business, technology, project management, operations, risk and compliance, and finance within a global financial services environment.Through this programme, I will develop hard skills including business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation, solution design, and stakeholder collaboration across operations and technology teams. I will also gain exposure to how complex workflows, systems, and controls are designed and managed within large-scale financial institutions.Alongside this, the mentoring will support the development of key soft skills such as professional communication, clarity in problem-solving, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and personal growth through structured feedback and guidance. This experience will help strengthen my ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, translate business needs into practical solutions, and build confidence in navigating complex operational and regulatory settings.

ABOUT SAMUEL SHORT
I am a second-year BSc (Hons) Marketing student at Bournemouth University, currently on track for a First-Class degree, with professional experience spanning governance, compliance, operational quality, and data-driven decision-making.Alongside my studies, I work as a Quality & Governance Coordinator at Medigold Health, where I support audits, risk management, process improvement, and performance reporting across multiple business functions. This has strengthened my ability to analyse complex information, work with stakeholders, and translate data into clear, actionable insight. I also founded Aspira Branding, a student-focused branding venture, and work as a Wiser Academy Student Ambassador, building experience in branding, communications, and professional engagement. I am currently part of the J.P. Morgan mentoring programme, where I am developing further insight into business, operations, project management, risk, and financial services. My interests sit at the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and marketing, and I am particularly motivated by roles and projects that combine commercial thinking with structured problem-solving.
