ABOUT SAMUEL SHEPHERD
A hard working, effective and flexible in lifting operations and crane operating. working in the UK and overseas. Operating in harsh and challenging conditions. Committed to all health and safety responsibilities. With very strong time management and the ability to prioritise takings. Currently a Army crane operator on the TEREX AC 35 and 55 tonne cranes with over 10 years experience as well as Appointed Person Lifting Operations (APLO) with 3 years experience. During my time in the Royal Engineers I have undertaken many roles and responsibilities from servicing and inspection vehicles to fleet management, teaching other service personnel to drive defence vehicles cross country and vehicle recovery in a safe manner. I will be leaving the Royal Engineers in Aug 2023 and looking to improve my knowledge of the lifting industry and the renewable energy sector in all areas wind, hydro, hydrogen and Solar. I am not all work, in my free time I like to go mountain biking (enduro), playing golf and going to the gym.
