Chartered Uk and European Patent Attorney @Abel + Imray

I joined Abel & Imray in 2018 and qualified as a European and UK patent attorney in 2022. I joined Abel + Imray in 2018 and am based in the London Office. During my MEng, I studied a wide range of materials science related subject matter, from high-performance alloys for aerospace applications and the processing of polymers, to nanomaterials and the production of semiconducting devices. For the latter part of my studies, I specialised in the interaction of materials with the human body, and how to exploit positive material cues in the design of medical devices. My Master’s project used bio-photonics and statistical learning to characterise the immune response elicited by extracellular matrix derived gels. My work at Abel + Imray involves a wide range of sectors including transport, oil and gas and healthcare. I am involved in drafting and prosecution work in a range of subjects, including welding technologies, energy storage technologies, medical devices and aircraft seating. I am also involved in the filing and prosecution of registered designs around the world, including obtaining UK, EU and International (Hague) registered designs.
