I lead TIME\'s global newsroom and its journalism across all platforms including print, digital, live, film and television. Our work reaches a combined audience of 120 million people around the world. Today, readers under the age of 35 account for 45% of TIME\'s global audience. TIME\'s readership includes more than 58 million social media followers and 1 million print subscribers, making TIME magazine the largest U.S. print title in news published today. I also write the weekly Inside TIME newsletter which reaches more than subscribers. During more than a decade at TIME, I\'ve shaped the strategic direction of the editorial team, hired dozens of journalists around the world and played a major role in the integration of TIME\'s newsroom across all formats. Since being named TIME\'s Deputy Editor in 2019, I have overseen TIME\'s day-to-day journalism. I started at TIME in 2013 and have held a variety of senior editorial positions. I have guided the strategy for TIME\'s digital editorial operation, which has won multiple Emmy and National Magazine Awards; played an instrumental role in expanding TIME\'s global events, live journalism and the TIME100; now oversee TIME Studios; created and launched The Leadership Brief newsletter, and built a sustainability vertical for TIME CO2, which launched with the Earth Awards in 2023. I won an Emmy in 2024 as co-executive producer of the TIME Studios series “Big Vape.” I have appeared as a guest on radio and television programs, including Meet the Press, Morning Joe, Squawk Box and the Brian Lehrer Show; interviewed leaders at the World Economic Forum; and spoken at conferences, including SXSW. I have interviewed heads of state and global business leaders. I have judged a number of journalism prizes including the Pulitzer Prize, National Magazine Awards, and Gerald Loeb Awards. Before joining TIME in 2013, I was the national political correspondent at Reuters, associate editor at Newsweek and staff reporter for The Daily Beast. My writing has appeared in the Boston Globe and New York Observer.
