Lead backend engineer for a genAI based product. Impacts made- Defined a RBAC system using spiceDB that unified different user types and their roles across multiple asset types- Integrated authentication with Cognito and custom backend systems. Also provided shared tooling for simple integration across the ecosystem- Reduced technical debt by identifying DRY violations across services and fixing by modularisation of disparate systems- Leveraged async fastAPI to build highly concurrent system- Developed isolated testing containers to enable better developer experience and create reusable self seeding/migrating databases for use in our CI/CD.
